What happened
Pink Energy, formerly Power Home Solar, filed Chapter 7 in October 2022 and ceased operations. It had about 35,000 customers, including roughly 5,700 in North Carolina.
What it means for customers
The bankruptcy estate will not repair or complete systems. State attorneys general asked solar lenders (GoodLeap, Cross River, Mosaic, Sunlight) to pause payments and interest for affected customers.
Next steps: 1) Find your equipment brand and get monitoring back. 2) Check who bills you (lender or lease company) and keep records. 3) Find a repair company in your state. Full checklist: what to do.
