What happened
Freedom Forever LLC filed Chapter 11 in Delaware on Apr 15, 2026. After no buyer or plan sponsor was found, the case converted to Chapter 7 effective Aug 7, 2026 and Alfred T. Giuliano was appointed trustee.
What it means for customers
Proof-of-claim deadline was Oct 16, 2026 (per pv magazine). The court let former finance partners (Credit Human, EnFin, EverBright, GoodLeap, Participate, Project Solar, Sunrun) resume stranded installs. Loan/lease payments go to the finance company, not Freedom Forever.
Next steps: 1) Find your equipment brand and get monitoring back. 2) Check who bills you (lender or lease company) and keep records. 3) Find a repair company in your state. Full checklist: what to do.
